Team of Duhamel and Arnold named to 2005 ISU World Junior Championships team
(January 27, 2005 - Ottawa, ON) - Skate Canada announced today the addition of the pair team of Meagan Duhamel and Ryan Arnold to the Canadian team for the 2005 International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Figure Skating Championships, which will be held Feb. 28 - March 6 in Kitchener, Ont.

Duhamel, 19, of Walden, Ont., and Arnold, 20, of South River, Ont., are coming off an eighth-place finish in the Senior Pair event at the 2005 BMO Financial Group Canadian Championships. At the event, they became the first team in the history of the Canadian Championships to land side-by-side triple Lutzes. The duo competed on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit this season, placing fifth at the 2004 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro. Lee Barkell coaches Duhamel and Arnold out of the Mariposa School of Skating in Barrie, Ont.
