The horses and ponies have been out and about all season fundraising and promoting our program, as well as continuing their training.
Thumper and Applejack attended a horse show with their horseparents, Sonia and Heather. They entered in jumping events and each came away with ribbons. They all made us proud.
Volunteers, riders and our coach along with Thumper, Applejack, Red Venture and Moonlight attended a western clinic with Wendy Johnson at N.L.T.R.A. in Val Rita.
Our ponies and volunteers attended the Fall Fair in September doing pony rides as a fundraiser Our mule and goats were on display in the petting farm. One of our volunteers, Shandelle Leclerc took Digger in the competition and brought home a number of ribbons. It was a great weekend.
Our fundraising also included pony rides at the Dome picnic, Summerfest in South Porcupine and Labour Day with the C.A.W. Local 599.
Our Volunteer/Rider BBQ was also a success. Local merchants donated the food, and trophies for our riders for a season well ridden. Volunteers, parents and riders had fun grooming and riding the horses all afternoon.
