Tourist and Traveler Information for Ontario

Ontario's North of Superior Region

The North of Superior Tourist Area runs from Saganago Lake in the southwest into the wild heartland of the Albany River in the north, and Manitouwadge and Hillsport in the east.  It includes Longlac, Geraldton, Marathon, Red Rock, Thunder Bay, Grand Portage, and Kakabeka Falls.

Visit Old Fort William, the world's largest fur trading post, enjoy world class angling, do some mountain biking on rugged off-road trails, camp near Kakabeka Falls, watch eagles soar above towering rock faces, climb the oldest rocks on the planet, picnic in ghosts towns, visit railways to nowhere, discover vast canyons, or enjoy the more civilized pleasures of city life in Thunder Bay.

This area has hundreds of fly in camps, lodges, and resorts. The days are long in summer, and vibrant in colour in the fall. Winter sports abound, and any activity taking place in the great out of doors will leave you with more choices than you'll know what to do with.
